UDM Law’s Project SALUTE Hosts Veterans’ Legal Clinic in Lansing (Veterans)

University of Detroit Mercy School of Law’s (UDM Law) Project SALUTE is traveling across the State of Michigan in a mobile law office, a recreational vehicle custom designed, built and generously donated by General Motors Corporation, providing FREE legal advice to low-income veterans on their federal veterans’ disability and pension benefits claims.

American Sewing Guild Lansing Clippers monthly meeting (Informational meeting.)

The August 9 meeting of The American Sewing Guild Lansing Clippers features a trunk show of garments created from patterns by Canadian designer Linda MacPhee. Judy Haas, a founding member of the Lansing Clippers, and current member Joanie Harris will delight attendees with the designs limited only by the sewist’s imagination and materials at hand. The guild meets at UAW Local 652, 426 Clare Street, Lansing, Michigan. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and activities end at 9:00. The State Room Restaurant's First-Ever Luau at Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center (Dinner)

The patio will be decked out in tiki torches, leis and candles for an evening of fun.
